One of the daughters married Jasper Smith (b. 1892
Ark) and she died prior to January 1920 since the census shows him as being a
son-in-law to Morgan Thomas. I suspect he married Arkansas or Sallie
Thomas.

One researcher lists James Nicholas Thomas as born 4 Jul 1884. However, his WWI Registration states a 7/5/1881 birth date with the month/day incorrectly reversed. It also states his father as M.D. Thomas so it is the correct person. James & Lula Thomas had one child: Clyde Ervin Thomas.
