(source: Cadillac News newspaper) CADILLAC Ñ Ronald D. Brazee of Haring Township passed away at his home on Sunday, April 8, 2007. He was 73. Mr. Brazee was born Sept. 15, 1933 to Carlton and Myrtle (Whitney) Brazee in Antioch Township. After graduating from Cadillac Schools, Mr. Brazee entered the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. After his service, Mr. Brazee was employed with Cadillac Manufacturing as a foundry worker. Mr. BrazeeÕs passion was horses, and he enjoyed working with them throughout his life. During his retirement years he was best known for his work as a ferrier. Mr. Brazee is survived by his children, Michael Brazee of Cadillac and Loretta (Tom) Kitchen of Lake City; grandchildren, Damian, Cody and Jade Brazee of Cadillac; Jessica (David) VanderBrook of Fife Lake; Kate Kitchen of Lansing; and one great-grandchild; brother Carlton Brazee of Traverse City; Dorothy (Don) Lagger of Cadillac; and Donald (Carol) Brazee of St. Louis, Mo. Preceding Mr. Brazee in death are his parents; and brothers, Roger and Freeman Brazee. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held later in the spring. Interment will be in Soper Cemetery in Colfax Township. Memorial contributions may be made to ShepherdÕs Table of Cadillac. Arrangements are being handled by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home in Cadillac. |
