Obituaries:

NEWMAN -- Services are pending for James Burkett Newman who died early Friday at a Boise hospital at the age of 91.  Mr. Newman had resided in Boise for one year.  He was born in Missouri Nov. 13, 1857 and before coming to Boise had resided in Bozeman, Mont., for 40 years.  He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist church of Bozeman.  Survivors include four sons.  George Thomas Newman of Boise, James William of Great Fall, Mont., Leo Burkett Newman of Casper, Wyo. and Cecil of Helena, Mont.; three daughters, Mrs. Bertie Clausen of Bozeman.  Mrs. Ruby Adams of Butte, Mont., and Mrs. Ida Trueblood of Coeur d'Alene, 23 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Summers chapel is in charge.

Services:

NEWMAN -- The remains of James Burkett Newman were sent to Bozeman, Mont., Saturday evening by the Summers chapel.  Services will be held at Bozeman Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.  No services were held in Boise.
