Funeral service for Edith M. Wilcox, 89, Lake City, who died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Zephyhaven Nursing Home under the care of Hernando Pasco Hospice, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Wilcox was born July 5, 1916, in Lake City, the daughter of Sidney and Eva Williams. Edith was a devoted wife and mother. She came to Volusia County in 1951 from Lake City. She loved to quilt, crochet, sew and garden. She was married to the late Flake C. Wilcox for 55 years. She is survived by two sons; Butch (Rita) Wilcox, Gilbertsville, Ky., and Mike (Dina) Wilcox, Plant City.; four brothers, Harold Williams, Chipley, Horace Williams, Jacksonville, Bryan Williams, Houston, Texas, and Sidney Williams, Lake City; three sisters, Edna Snelgrove, Lake City, Doris Stormant, White Springs, and Elizabeth Stormant, Weirsdale; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
