The following obits are from a large collection I have. I have tried to type them as they are and made a few corrections in ( ). I have added the newspaper, when it was known. I have added dates, where I think they will be helpful. If any questions on these I will be glad to help where I can. RIDDLE, (died 1959) LONG CREED COURT BENSON CLARA A. RIDDLE DIES IN PONTIAC MENDON-Mrs. Clara A. RIDDLE, 84, a former resident here, died in the Pontiac General Hospital Monday, where she had been a patient for three days. She was born in Deal, England on Oct. 26, 1875 the daughter of Edward and Matilda (LONG) CREED. She spent her childhood in England, marrying a Mr. COURT while living there. Following her husband's death, she and two children came to the United States and settled in the Mendon community in 1910. In 1915 she was married to Adin RIDDLE, in Mendon. Mr. and Mrs. RIDDLE made their home on a farm northeast of Mendon. Mr. RIDDLE died in 1947. Mrs. RIDDLE had been living with a daughter in Pontiac for the last three years. Mrs. Riddle also was preceded in death by her son, Edward COURT. Surviving are her daughter, Alice BENSON, Pontiac, and two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The body will be returned to Mendon on Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held at the Eickhoff Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Gearhard, rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Three Rivers, officiating. Interment will take place at the Mendon Cemetery. Note: Year of death taken by adding age to year of birth. Riddle (b. Nov 1893 in St. Joseph Co., MI).  Adin then married Clare Annie Court on 15 Apr 1915 in Mendon, St. Joseph Co., MI.
