AFFIDAVIT

I, John H. Everst of Red Miller County, State of Nebraska, aged ____ years, do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with Mr. Sansfield C. Oconnell and Miss Sarah Everst who are parties for the marriage of whom a LICENSE is applied for; that said Sansfield C Oconnell is of the age of 21 years and upward, of sound contracting mind, and unmarried, ________ that said Sarah Everst is of the age of 15 years and upward, of sound contracting min, and unmarried, has the consent of her father John H. Everst and may lawfully contract and be joined in marriage.

I furthermore do solemnly swear that the following schedule, containing the names of the aforesaid parties, their age, color, place of birth, residence and parents’ names, is correct in every particular, to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, to-wit: --

ISSUE OF LICENSE

Application having this day been made by John H. Evert for License for the Marriage of Mr. Sansfield C. Oconnell aged 21 years, and Miss Sarah Evert aged 15 years, and it appearing by the affidavit of John H. Evert as above recorded, that the said parties are of competent age and condition to marry has the -------- consent of John H. Evert, her father and all the requirements of the law having been complied with, License is therefore issued this 9th day of February 1887.

This Certifies, That on the Tenth day of February A.D. 1887 at McCook in said County, according to law and by authority, I duly joined in marriage Mr. Sansfield Oconnell and Miss Sarah Evert and there were present as witnesses John Lane and Samantha Metz given under my hand the 14th day of February A.D. 1887
