I Hazzard Wood of the County of Marion State of Missouri do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament.

 

First – I desire that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid.

 

Second – I give to my beloved wife Sarah Wood one Negro woman <patty> during her life.  I also give to my wife the one-third part of the proceeds of my property both real and personal.

 

Third – It is my will that all my Estate be sold both real and personal bequeath the that part which I have all <kindly> disposed of.

 

Fourth – It is my will that the proceeds of my property be equally divided among all my children Names as follows Fanny Cochran, James Wood, Charlotte Ballard, Ellen Proctor, Willey Calvert, Nancy Leur, Lucy Proctor my daughter; Mary Kincaid I give fifty dollars over and above the rest of my children dancing her life at her leisure.  It is my will that it descend to her three children Hazzard Kincaid Harvey W Kincaid Sarah Jane Kincaid.

 

Fifth – the part I will a letter for my son David.  I give to his wife Jane Wood during her future life and at her leisure.  It is my will that it descend to the lawful heirs of heir Bodey

 

Sixth - I give to my two grand sons Parker Dantich and John Dantich the one equal part with all my estate with the rest of my children

 

7th – I do herby constitute and appoint James Wood as Columbus Proctor executors to this my Last Will and testament.

 

In Testimony whereof I have here unto Six my hand and seal this 20th of March 1846 attested in the presence of the Testator Hazzard Wood

And now at this day come Josiah Robertson, William M. Kincaid subscribing uninterrupted to a paper produced to the court purporting to be the last will and testament of Hazzard Wood <deceased> and <Severely/Dually>.

All make oath that they <know/heard> the deceased acknowledge the same, as his last will and testament that they signed their names as witnesses <thereto> in his presence and at his request in the presence of each other that at the time of doing the same he was of sound and disposing mind and memory and fully capable of making a will.  It is therefore ordered by the Court that the same be recorded as for the last will and testament of this the said deceased and admitted to record as such.  In testimony where of I, Thos E. Hatcher, Clerk of our said court have hereunto put my hand and the seal of our said court at my office in Palmyra this 4th day of June 1846
