     Mrs. Frances Ellen Cave, 808 Nichols street, who had been a patient at the Allen Nursing Home, Mexico, Mo., for about a year, died yesterday afternoon about 1:30 o'clock at the Audrain Hospital, Mexico.
     Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church here.  The Rev. C.E. Hanan will officiate and burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.  The body will lie in state at the Wallace Funeral Home here until time for services. 
     A native of Shelbyville, Mo., Mrs. Cave was born on April 22, 1871, a daughter of the late James T. and Jennie V. Wood Mitchell.
     Her husband, William Franklin Cave, died in 1933.  He and their son, Clarence, had operated a garage at Sixth and Market streets here a number of years ago.
     Mrs. Cave had been an active member of the Baptist Church since she was 11 years old, and at one time was a circuit rider teaching music throughout Missouri.  She began her teaching career at the age of 16 and frequently held recitals in various towns, usually in the fall of the year. 
     The family had lived in Maywood (Lewis County), Mo., before coming to Fulton (Callaway County) in 1920.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church here.
     Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Florence Briscoe, Lawndale, Calif., and Mrs. Gladys Hammond, Birmingham, Ala.; a son, Clarence, also of Birmingham; and two grandchildren, Donald Hammond, Birmingham and Mrs. Murlea Briscoe Johnson, Los Angeles, California.

     William Franklin Cave, 68 years old, a native of Marion county, Mo., but for 11 years a garage operator in Fulton and a former member of the city council, died rather suddenly at his home at 808 Nichols street at 7:00 o'clock, Saturday morning.
     His death came as a surprise to most Fultonlans, although it was known that he had been ailing lately.  He had been in failing health for about two years, declining rapidly in the last years.  He was confined to his bed for about a week before the end came.
     Mr. Cave was born March 22, 1865 in Marion county, Mo.  He was a son of Abraham G. and Minerva Birchfield Cave, pioneer residents of northeast Missouri.  In his earlier life, Mr. Cave was a farmer and stockman of Marion county.  He moved to Lewis county about 15 years ago where he was in the government service as a rural letter carrier from the Maywood office.  In 1922 he moved to Fulton.
     Mr. Cave was married on March 30, 1892 to Frances Ellen Mitchell who with three children, survives.  The children are Mrs. Florence Briscoe, Mercedes, Texas; Mrs. Gladys M. Hammond, Birmingham, Ala.; and Clarence A. Cave of Fulton.  He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. A.W. Johnson, Taylor, Mo.; and Mrs. P.F. White, Ewing, Mo.
     Mr. Cave became a member of the Baptist church early in life and remained a consistent and faithful attendant throughout his lifetime.  He was a member of the Fulton church at the time of his death.  He also was a member of the Fulton lodge of Masons, the Fulton Odd Fellows and had been a member of the Modern Woodmen.  Mr. Cave served the city on the conciliate body a number of years ago, occupying a city chair for a term and a half.
     The sincere sympathy of the friends in Fulton goes out to the family in their hour of bereavement.
