Note: John Anderson was a Pvt. in the North Carolina Militia during the Revolutionary War (See documentation State #129889 from the National Society Sons of the American Rev.) Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia by Folks Huxford, Vol. 5, page 7.
In Huxford's "Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia" quote " Soon after the creation of Tattnall county, John Anderson, with his family moved there and he was granted lands from the State and cleared up a farm and built his home and lived there until his death.  His death occurred in October 1849, age 90 years, according to the mortuary schedule of the 1850 Census of Tattnall county. His wife had died a few years before, age about 80 years." In his later years, he moved to Telfair County to live with son,Vinson, until shortly before his death. Buried in the Anderson Cemetery, Tattnall County, GA.
